SUMMARY:The November Art Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:From abstract art to realism\, and everything in between\, the November Art Exhibit is a collection of unique and diverse pieces of art that are not to be missed. The November Art Exhibit is now hanging at the W Gallery (57 Andrew Ave\, Wayland- across from Russell’s Garden) and will run through November 26th. Gallery hours are Saturdays from 1 pm to 5 pm and Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm. There will be a reception honoring the artists and their work on Sunday\, November 14th from 1 pm to 2 pm. This reception is open to all. Immediately following the reception\, the W is proud to present the jazz quintet\, ZAHILI\, from 2 pm to 4 pm. DESCRIPTION:On November 14th from 2 pm to 4 pm\, The W Gallery proudly presents ZAHILI. Composer\, arranger and pianist Zahili Gonzalez Zamora\, expanding from her former trio\, MIXCLA\, is thrilled to share news of her new and self–titled quintet. The group features new Afro-Latin sounds arranged and composed by Zahili\, and boasts other members from Cuba\, Panama and Colombia. This ensemble includes the legendary voice of Barbara Zamora Vargas\, the playful flute lines of Melvin Lam Zanetti\, and a harmonious interplay between Irisley Luis on bass and Ricky Matute on percussion. Zahili’s new quintet is sure to take you on a musical trip of cultural connections and stories intertwined. This six piece band matches tightly wound harmonies and lyrical guitar playing with beautifully crafted songs. \nPreceding Easy Street Band will be Cabin Fever\, joined by members of Easy Street Band\, who will perform original songs from their newly released album ‘Cabin Fever’. \nThe concert starts at 7:30 pm.
