SUMMARY:Fernando Brandão Quintet
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday\, December 12th from 2 pm to 4 pm at The W Gallery (57 Andrew Ave\, Wayland) for the Fernando Brandão Quintet. The concert will feature a variety of Brazilian music genres – from Southeastern choro\, samba and bossa to Northeastern baião\, frevo and ijexá – embedded in jazz style improvisations and contemporary arrangements. Interpreted on various flutes\, the repertoire mixes original compositions and music by the great Brazilian masters – from Pixinguinha to Antônio Carlos Jobim to Hermeto Pascoal. Come early and socialize with local artists represented in our December Small Works show.
